Scripture teaches that all believers in Jesus Christ are to be members of a local church to receive encouragement, accountability, and instruction.
Membership Matters is a four week class that all prospective members must attend. Classes are offered once a quarter during the Sunday School hour and are held in the adult Sunday School wing. Here is the curriculum for the class:
The Gospel and Church Membership
Statement of Faith
Church Covenant
Mission and Life Together
Once the course is completed, prospective members are able to meet with the pastor for a membership interview to share their salvation testimony. They would then sign the statement of faith and church covenant, and then be presented to the church for congregational affirmation.
